MCP · control what is said about you

AI already talks about you - and often gets it wrong

Right now, without you knowing, AI assistants answer customers about your business. Sometimes right. Not rarely - wrong. You don't see it and you can't fix it. Unless you give them a source.

Try it right now

Open an AI assistant and ask about yourself the way a customer would: "what does [business name] offer?", "how much does it cost there?", "are they open on Friday?" Read the answer to the end. There is a good chance something in it is simply off - a service you no longer offer, an old price, the wrong hours, maybe a mix-up with another business of a similar name. And it is worded so confidently that a customer believes it.

Why it happens

The AI doesn't come to you and read. It assembles an answer from scraps: a page cached once, an old review, a listing in some directory, and where it runs short it fills the gap itself. It isn't lying on purpose - it just has no clean source that you stand behind. And the deeper problem is that confidence is not accuracy. An answer can sound completely authoritative and be completely wrong, and the user has no way to tell them apart.

What it costs you - quietly

The biggest damage is the kind you never see. A customer quoted the wrong price simply doesn't call. Someone who heard you are "probably closed" doesn't come. No complaint, no angry email - they just went to someone else, and you will never know they were here. This isn't a one-off glitch, it is a steady leak. And the more people ask an AI instead of browsing, the harder it leaks.

You can't fix what you can't see

On your site, if there's a mistake, you fix it. A review you can reply to. But the answer an AI gives a customer in a private chat - you don't see it and you don't touch it. There is no "report a mistake" button. The only lever left is not to chase every answer, but to be the source the answers come from in the first place.

MCP - control comes back to you

This is where MCP comes in: an orderly channel that lets AI read the truth from your site instead of guessing. You set what it knows, and the answers line up with what you actually offer. You don't chase every machine - you give them one correct source, yours. We do the building; you just tell us what's right.

As long as you have no source, someone else tells your story. MCP hands you back the pen.
